Who We Are
We are a small company based in Polson, MT, dedicated to providing experience and expertise in the study
of aquatic macroinvertebrates in the lakes and streams of northwestern North America.
We specialize in the identification of aquatic organisms - aquatic insects in particular.
We can assist in the planning and coordination of studies involving aquatic organisms.
e.g. bio-monitoring, distribution, and diversity. We also have an in-house photographer
and can provide professional photos.
What We Do
We specialize in the identification of aquatic insects from the Northwest U.S. We can assist with many types of projects:
- Designing surveys of aquatic benthic macroinvertebrates
- Investigating benthic macroinvertebrates in lentic and lotic habitats
- Separating invertebrates from sample detritus
- Identifying aquatic macroinvertebrates
- Assessing results of aquatic surveys
- Photographing aquatic invertebrates
- Preparing “Hatch Guides” for fly fishermen
- Presenting aquatic invertebrates to organizations and academia
- Preparing aquatic invertebrate reference collections
- Quality Control/Quality Assurance for other invertebrate studies
